Each year the Macon Downtown Association sponsors the Fork & Cork Festival in downtown Macon, Missouri. This annual community event features wine, artisans, food, music, and antiques.
This year the festival is August 29, 2015, 10:00 am-7:00 pm in the downtown area. This is a great event for the whole family and helps raise money to make improvements in the downtown area. Macon Coca-Cola Bottling Co. is a proud supporter of this event.
Leigh Simon from the Macon Downtown Association says, "Macon Coca-Cola Bottling Co. has been a wonderful supporter of the Macon Downtown Association. From the beginning of our community fundraiser, "The Fork & Cork Festival," Macon Coca-Cola has been instrumental in making us successful by their donations."
Simon continues, "This festival helps fund the revitalization of the Macon downtown area. These donations have paid for beautification and seed money for grants and educational meetings. Now a portion of Rollins and Oak Street has been restored, called the Pilot Project featuring new historic lamp posts, landscaping, and sidewalks. Sitting next to this restored area is the original historic 1885 Coca-Cola building. The Pilot Project is a jumping off point for the downtown area. The community can now visualize how the Macon downtown can look with local support."
Macon Coca-Cola is a proud sponsor of this event. Add the Fork & Cork Festival to your calendar on August 29, 2015!
